AI caption writer

An AI caption writer that knows the difference between Gulf and Egyptian Arabic

Most AI writing tools translate into Modern Standard Arabic and call it done — readable, but not how anyone actually talks. Postclay's caption writer generates in the dialect you pick (Gulf, Egyptian, MSA, or English), checks the result against whichever platform you're posting to, and is included in every plan — no separate add-on.

How it works

  1. In the composer, click "Write with AI" and enter a topic — a product launch, an announcement, a promotion, anything you'd normally caption by hand.
  2. Pick a dialect (Gulf, Egyptian, MSA or English) — or leave it on your workspace's default.
  3. Review the generated captions, each already checked against the character limit of whichever platform you have selected for this post.
  4. Pick one, optionally generate matching hashtags, then fine-tune the wording with Rewrite — shorten it, continue it, or shift the tone more formal or more casual — before scheduling.

What's actually different here

  • Real dialects, not translation

Gulf Arabic, Egyptian Arabic and Modern Standard Arabic are generated as their own distinct styles — not one MSA draft lightly reworded three times.

  • Per-platform limits, checked automatically

A caption meant for Bluesky's 300-grapheme cap and one meant for WordPress's 100,000-character body are checked against the actual limit of the platform you've selected, not a generic guess.

  • Grapheme-accurate, not character-accurate

An emoji or an Arabic diacritic can be multiple characters but a single grapheme — Postclay counts the way each platform actually counts, so a caption that fits the counter really does fit.

  • Hashtag suggestions from the same topic

Generate relevant hashtags straight from the caption's topic, in the same dialect and script as the caption itself.

  • Rewrite tools for text you already wrote

Shorten, continue, or shift the tone of any selected text — your own draft or an AI-generated one — without starting over from a blank prompt.

  • Included in every plan

Caption generation isn't a paid add-on or a separate tier — it's part of every Postclay plan, metered separately from image and video generation.

Example prompts

topic: "افتتاح محل قهوة مختصة", dialect: Gulf
Generates a caption in genuine Gulf Arabic phrasing — the kind of casual, warm opening-day announcement a Gulf-based coffee shop would actually post, not a Modern Standard Arabic press release.
topic: "SaaS product launch", dialect: English
Generates a few English caption variations pitched at a launch announcement, each already checked against the character limit of the platform selected for the post.
topic: "إعلان مواعيد العمل في رمضان", dialect: Egyptian
Generates the same announcement in Egyptian Arabic phrasing — noticeably different word choice and rhythm from the Gulf-dialect version of a similar topic.

Common questions

Does it actually write in dialect, or translate from English?
It generates directly in the dialect you select — Gulf, Egyptian, MSA, or English — rather than writing in English and translating, or writing one MSA draft and lightly rewording it.
Which platforms does the caption writer support?
All platforms Postclay connects to. The character-limit check adapts automatically to whichever platform you've selected for that post — Telegram's 4,096 (or 1,024 with media), Bluesky's 300 graphemes, Mastodon's 500, and so on.
Can I edit an AI-generated caption before it posts?
Yes — every generated caption lands in the composer as regular editable text. Use Rewrite for quick adjustments, or edit it directly like anything you typed yourself.
Is this a paid add-on, or included in my plan?
Included in every plan, with a monthly generation allowance that scales by tier. It's metered separately from AI image and video generation, which have their own allowances.
